Don't bother with Gator, this one is better.

This music stand accessory has fulfilled all my hopes and dreams. I dreamed of a neat shelf to store 2 pens, metronome, tuner and valve oil. I was also hoping that I would have a place for my phone and wallet. This accessory box convinces in all areas. I recommend 100%, I will buy more. WARNING: The cup holder is too deep for a 12 ounce beer can; You better go with a 16 ounce can. Perfect size for coffee mugs and fast food mugs.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • So far so good

A very good implementation of a good idea. I modified mine a bit so I can use more than one height the box is designed for. The built-in height is fine when you want to stand, but too low when you want to sit. Space is limited, so watch the height. According to the plan, it is located directly at the connection point between the outer tube and the inner linkage. It CAN be modified to bypass this limitation, but space is limited.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No insurance

Highly recommend the best tool accessory

Love it so much I bought a second one; leave one at home and one at the theater where I play. I play woodwind. There's a tray where I keep my reed cases and another tray where I quickly hide the mouthpiece caps when quickly changing instruments. Long enough for pencils. My only issue was that the plastic caps made a lot of noise when I dropped them into the plastic holder. So I bought a bright yellow felt and put it underneath so it was quiet and I could see it in the dark. I also like how easy

Nice accessory - modified stock for bottom positioning

In addition to other reviews, the box actually sits on top of the base 'post' and grips the extension strut. If you hold the stand at the minimum height like I did, the box disappears under the stand. However, if you're good with a drill (or knife), you can use a large drill bit and lightly trim the plastic edge at the top. This allows the box to grab the bottom bar, and quite snugly, with positioning all the way down. In general I am very happy. The round holder is not designed for a water…

Good product - read this manual.

I use it with a travel stand Manhasset Voyager. He is solid and strong. The "drink holder" is actually just a round cup with a base that can certainly hold any cup or use it as a pen holder. It took me a second to figure out how to put it on the stand. Initially I thought it wouldn't fit, which another reviewer warned about. However, as the Manhasset website says, it fits ALL of their stalls. However, it only fits in one case (and not in the way I first thought). This wasn't clear in the…

This is very useful!

As a woodwind player, I have to keep a lot of 'things' (sheets, mouthpiece caps, pencils, sticky notes, music glasses, tampons, notepads, etc.) nearby with a hand during the show. I was sometimes able to use the tool case as a shelf to keep "things" handy, but some of the pits were too crowded to store cases nearby. I've tried looking for shelves that other people have used for their coasters but can't seem to find them online. Then I saw this little gadget. I used it for two long rehearsals…
