Ideal for home use. Simplifies data recovery from external drives. Decent data transfer speed. Pros: Magnetic closure keeps the USB cable in place. Cons: Magnet pops out of a small hole and it's a re-deployable pistol. I'm hoping for another version with a better USB 2.0 or even a USB 3.0 host adapter with a faster chipset.

I have been using 2 of these Manhattan Silicon Drive Enclosures since 2016 and they are very convenient. Recently one of them had a problem with the USB connector breaking off on the circuit board inside the case. I'm not sure how this happened, but I think it might be due to the construction of the cable that comes with the drive. I'm tired of how easy it is to lose flash drives and the relatively high cost of larger drives. So I needed something portable with lots of data and big enough that it wouldn't be easy to lose it. I have ordered 4 of these cases. A very practical product. Doesn't get hot. The only possible complaint might not be 3.0, but that doesn't really matter to me. Also, the included micro USB cable is a bit short, especially for desktops. I have a few extra micro USBs so it's not a big deal. I definitely recommend it.

Ideal for 9.5mm hard drive. If your HD is 12mm or 7.5mm, this is not for you. I love the fact that I can take out a disc and put in another in just 2 seconds without tools. I just hope they make one with USB 3.0 speeds!
