I have been using 2 of these Manhattan Silicon Drive Enclosures since 2016 and they are very convenient. Recently one of them had a problem with the USB connector breaking off on the circuit board inside the case. I'm not sure how this happened, but I think it might be due to the construction of the cable that comes with the drive. It does not plug directly into the case connector but has a 90 degree cable bend. This puts some stress on the socket inside the case when you try to reposition or move the case. I started using a straight cable with a second casing to prevent this.
