They are made of shiny stainless steel. My kid loves jewelry but managed to break most of the chains. I bought them so that we can wear them together and to relieve anxiety at kindergarten, school, etc. My kid has worn them all summer, in the shower, in the pool when active and they still look lovely and haven't broken despite the flimsy looking chain. I think it will break in an emergency, but for everyday use, it's durable, beautiful, and has helped my child get through the breakup.

My daughter wanted the Mama and I necklace for her 9th birthday. I looked at a few and they were all either too big, too cheaply made or just not perfect. However, THIS is perfect! Pendants and chains are the perfect size. The only thing I would change is the packaging. The necklaces were in plastic bags with a note card on top. It would be nice if it was packaged like in the photo.

They are definitely well priced but sometimes you get what you pay for. The smaller one meant for my daughter was the same chain size as the other and was MUCH longer for my 5 year old daughter. They didn't look very good either and overall I wasn't happy.
