Good product for betta fish

This is a good little heater for a small Betta aquarium to keep warm, but the downside is that it won't stick to the aquarium.

Cons

Happy about it. Once set up I like it

I agree that my Betta seems MUCH happier with a heater that keeps the temperature between 75 and 80 than when it was 70 at room temperature. It was too hot for my previous 1 gallon tank. But for my 2.5 gallon tank it's perfect.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • boring packaging

Bought 2 so far so good

I couldn't find a heater for small tanks without most reviews being negative. Since I really needed some, I took a chance and bought 1 for each of my 1.3 gallon betta tanks. I've had them in tanks for about 2 weeks and they work as expected. As some reviews say, it is true that this heater stays on all the time when plugged in and you have to take the room temperature into account. Now that it has gotten cooler, the temperature in the aquariums is stable at 82 degrees and the fish are happy. As

Works well in my 3 gallon betta

I bought this heater for my 3 gallon betta. It's the middle of winter and we keep our house heated to 71 degrees and that heater gets our tank to almost 80 degrees. The instructions say it's for 1/2 to 1 1/2 gallon tanks but I can't imagine using it in a tank that small unless the tank is in a very cold room or you turn off the heating for part of the day. . I had to turn off the heat in my 3 gallon aquarium tonight because my son noticed the water temp was going over 80 degrees. If you buy…

Ideal for small plastic aquariums but requires supervision

If you have a small aquarium (1 gallon or less) it will be difficult to find a heater that will work with it. There are only a few to choose from, and they are all fully enabled or fully disabled. I bought this for my Marina EZ Care Tank Marina EZ Care Betta Kit, Black when I realized I needed a heater. (The sales lady didn't tell me that.) I put it in a tank (it has a suction cup which is finicky at first but sticks really well once you set it up correctly) and was disappointed by how bulky it

Good product, misleading description.

I would have given this heater 5 stars if the company hadn't put so much effort into a deliberately misleading, albeit technically correct, description. that the heating is permanently switched on. It doesn't have a thermostat, it just heats up and stays warm all the time. Therefore, to say that it "reaches the set temperature" is misleading as most will interpret this as the temperature of the water when in fact it is the temperature of the HEATER that remains constant. Whether or not the…
