The MarineLand Aquarium Light Natural Shimmering is a wonderful addition to my fishtank. According to my experience, it gives a natural shimmering light that makes the fish look more vibrant and alive. The light is easy to install and energy-efficient, which makes it cost-effective. The only downside is that the light is not very bright, which can make it difficult to see the fish at night. Overall, this is a great product that I would recommend to anyone looking for a sparkling aquarium light.

If you buy this flashlight, be prepared to replace it between 6 and 18 months after purchase. Over the years they've improved the design a bit (in the old design the 12v power plug was connected to a flashlight which rusted after 6 months - in the new design the power cord is hardwired to the circuit board). However, the switch above is absolute junk and will not make normal contact after 6-18 months of use. You will know when this is happening as the light will flicker or be very dim or not…

A while ago I purchased 2 hoods with this light bar for my 55 gallon aquarium. After lightning struck near my house, one of them stopped flashing and you had to keep flicking the switch to keep it on a constant light. Another storm and another close swipe and it eventually crashed (weird that it was the one and they were both hooked up to a surge protector). Unfortunately, this caused my already aggressive cichlid to become even more aggressive, so it got angry and killed all of its tankmates…
