Martex Plush Blanket Full Queen Review

Overall - arrived well (gift). Would give 5 stars but the quality isn't what it was ten years ago. I bought three of these. The first was amazing! Plush I think, heavy, durable, the second one, bought a few years later, was smaller, so like that. average. The original is impressive. The quality of their products has dropped significantly. I was disappointed.

I have thicker and more luxurious comforters, but I was looking for a very specific shade of purple, not too pale lavender and not too dull purple-grey. I never seem to be able to get a quilt that looks exactly like the color shown on screen so I am very happy with this purchase. We all need a light summer duvet sometimes, so the weight doesn't matter to me. This color goes well with a dark purple or aubergine ceiling. A good thing. The color is perfect. I've been looking for a dark purple velvet comforter for years as I had to throw away my last one which was at least 15 years old. I bought a Martex blanket from JcPenney's a few years ago. This has been our favorite blanket for almost 12 years. When it finally broke we decided to buy another one. I saw one at Revain and in the photo it was exactly the same as ours, it even had the same name. What we received was a flimsy flimsy blanket which I will return and ask for my money. Still using, still great. Highly recommended. Originally it was just a big toss to throw stuff in the trunk of my SUV to reduce the chances of burglary/theft when staying in hotels. HOWEVER - turns out to be a great comforter and we actually use it to sleep on our couch too. It doesn't pill at all, super light, but very comfortable and clear layer of warmth directly on the skin.
