Doesn't exactly cut

Wanted. I like that it folds compactly. It comes with interchangeable blades and thoughtful storage! But he's not cutting! I thought I was doing something wrong but after many unsuccessful attempts I realized it was the trimmer. Clever clever concept but useless if it can't cut a straight line :( You broke my heart Martha

Not perfect, but good enough for my art

I purchased this item from a local craft store. It's been reliable so far, and after clipping a few pages, it's still doing its job well. Problem 1: It doesn't cut a straight line no matter how hard I try to hold the paper - it's always at a very slight angle, even with my arm outstretched. Problem 2: Comes with a spare blade but I can't find other refills anywhere. If you buy a regular MS trimmer you can get blades but not for that. And I've looked almost everywhere. Haven't encountered theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Very good for certain tasks!

This is a portable plastic trimmer that works well. I've had mine for over a year now and I've found it to be best for cutting scored cardstock or cutting diagonally from corner to corner - very clean and sharp. I didn't have a problem with straight lines either (as long as I start from a good paper position) since you don't have to press as hard to get a good cut. The base isn't the strongest, so this is important. I've had much more difficulty cutting in a straight line with other plasticโ€ฆ

Pros
  • handy item
