I use Costco pancake mix; and I make perfect golden brown waffles with ease. The design allows for a very even cooking of waffles/pancakes without much "technical" effort.

So this waffle iron does not bake waffles. It makes huge pancakes. There's no way to tell if it's ready because the light comes on when you first turn it on. Then it turns off. But it turns yellow again. It's confusing and difficult to use. And expensive

I received the correct Spiderman box, but it had the wrong Iron Man waffle maker. Was very disappointed in our grandson who we bought a Spiderman waffle maker for. We had an entire Spider-Man theme that was at our house for him as a surprise over Thanksgiving weekend. Spiderman's shower curtain, costumes, etc. We will be returning this item as we have not been able to use it.

It was very easy to use and the food came out exactly like the picture. I didn't use the light to judge the ripeness of the waffle, I opened it to take a pick and closed it when it wasn't done. This did not cause uneven cooking. My husband commented that it was more like pancakes, which seems to be a common theme, but they were still great pancakes. What I like best is that it doesn't drip or spill at all and wipes clean easily so there's no mess.

Just received this morning and it's almost perfect. We made Bisquick brand waffles and they were more like pancakes, but I'm assuming it's batter and not a waffle iron. The temperature control is excellent. You pour in the batter and close the lid, after a few minutes the green light comes on and the dish is cooked to perfection. My problem is that the metal plates cannot be washed. They cannot be removed for washing. You just have to wipe it with a damp cloth and that's just unhygienic for me.

Not like waffles but perfectly fluffy pancakes! . My kids just loved it. Very easy to clean, I wiped it down after use. the green cooking time indicator went off and I pulled it out and it was fully cooked. The only thing I don't like is the lack of an on/off switch, so a busy mom has to remember to turn it off.
