It was exactly what we expected. For those wondering, the material is similar to poster board. The masks are cute and our kids loved making them. Just don't get them wet. However, they resist marking.

Very cute. Children and adults loved to paint with watercolors (standard Prang kindergarten sets only). The little ones just wanted to wear them unpainted. Black ties aren't included but they're quite stretchy and very easy to assemble - I'd recommend assembling them before the event and if you're not very good at threading bring a hole punch, pencil or something else to help to make a small hole. more.
