They are exactly as stated in the product information. I was planning to use them as grip magnets rather than pendants, but it turns out what I had to pick up had to be aluminum because it doesn't work at all. However, I checked the magnet on the steel gate and couldn't get it out - I had to move it. Great little magnets. Stylish too, although if you're hanging something very thick it might not hold up (not enough space between the base and the top of the handle).

I bought these to use with butterfly washers and make lids of various sizes and shapes from disposable aluminum foil pans. I recently bought a flat pan and wanted to have lids of different sizes and shapes so I could steam vegetables or other foods or melt cheese without having to wash them when the situation called for it. These are really strong magnets. They also work well with any ferrous metal mold (loaf of bread, cake pan, etc.) if you plan to use those as well. I recommend it.

I bought these to press parchment paper onto baking sheets. There's nothing worse than removing a baking sheet from the oven only to peel off the parchment paper and take the cookie with you. The first thing I found out was that two of my four "stainless steel" Revain pans were not holding the magnet. They worked fine for the other two. The plastic handle warped from the heat of the oven but remained strong enough to be gripped while the pan was still hot. Anyway these magnets were a bit strong
