Claimed 35lbs for holding power (for 2 hooks I believe) and dividing by 2 should hold/support 17.5lbs. It barely holds a broom, 3 pounds max (and not wet). Yes, I attached the magnet to pure metal, not an alloy like a fridge or washing machine. The claimed holding weight is not true. Do you think they meant 32 ounces? I keep them for other purposes, but not for their intended purpose.

They hold all sorts of things by the side of the toolbox in my mechanical shop. One has an Energizer flashlight. One has a Slyde flashlight. The other two below hold straight and angled mounts. I used to have to constantly look for where all these things were, but now I just put them back in the box at arm's length. I haven't had any issues with them slipping down or losing grip. Overall a great purchase.

We were very pleased to receive this product but it does not work as intended The magnets are not strong enough to hold a broom or mop in the air to hold so it only works if you don't mind leaving your broom on the floor it's just a small step up when I lean my broom against the wall I'm trying to decide if I should return this item.*Update - After the manufacturer's comment, I'm still giving 2 stars.Maybe it's not meant for a broom?For small items, it seems normal, but not for my purposes.
