This is a great basket and all you really need to make your bread rise. I spray it with water and dust it with flour before putting bread in it. This is ideal for the second course after the first fermentation. They want to go straight from the basket to the oven.

The Banneton Proofing Basket is great for making really great bread; I was very happy with the balls I get from it. It can be a bit of a hassle to clean - you don't want to use water for this - but I think it's worth caring about and it's rarely a huge hassle.

Large size. Good design at a reasonable price. There were some protruding fragments and threads. Going through it with tweezers and removing the needles helped a lot. After processing with rice flour, the dough came out clean. I made a very wet batter and had no problems with it.

This is a good proofing basket for shaping but make sure to dust with flour, especially if using high moisture dough. I've been using it almost weekly for 80% boule hydration since buying it five months ago and have found I still have to flour it thoroughly every time or the dough will get stuck.

Works well. However, I would have liked it to come with an insert. And it was thrown in a box, with no protective packaging, just an open plastic bag, not very hygienic as far as I remember - not very happy about that. On the other hand, now that I've been using this banneton for over two years, I have to say that it works great. Although, again a small flaw - it came without any care or usage instructions. I had to dig up this information on the net.
