Replacement Sensor

This sensor works MUCH better than the stock sensor! It also has a curve in front of the cord that makes it easier to penetrate the flesh. The cable does not kink as easily as a standard probe. I wasn't able to get the stock dipstick to work properly, and other reviewers said the dipstick was the problem. You were right! My ET-733 is now running like clockwork!

Good but Expensive: Kitchen and Dining Room

No review yet, but when first used to control the oven temperature for a long slow ribbed grate in a convection oven it was a solid 30 degrees below proper temperature when it achieves preheating to strong deterrence for the first time. But when I lowered the heat and checked later, the range (which was relatively accurate compared to the original ET733 short gauges) was correct again. It might have something to do with 'hacking' the probe, if there is one, but it actually appears to be within…

It doesn't pay to be the best in the kitchen and dining room

Although this sensor was supposed to fit my Redi-Chek sensor, it wobbled a bit when plugged in. When using it on my grill I often got random false readings like reading HHH (too high to read) or maybe 124* when placed on the grate. All in all a useless article. There is no return policy, so I'll stick with it. Goes in the trash.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Good but expensive, best meat

The jury's out yet, but when it was first used to control the oven temperature for a long slow roast of ribs in a convection oven, it was whole 30 degrees below the right temperature when first used, preheating achieved strong deterrent. But when I lowered the heat and checked later, the range (which was relatively accurate compared to the original ET733 short gauges) was correct again. It might have something to do with 'hacking' the probe, if there is one, but it actually appears to be within

Sensor connector did not match my ET733

This sensor looked fine but did not match any of the connectors on our ET733. We compared it to the two probes that came with it and found that the round plastic part of the original connectors fit snugly into the silicone hole covering each of the ports on the ET733. With this replacement probe, the round plastic portion of the plug was too big to fit the hole and the plug kept being pushed out as the silicone flattened as the plug was pushed into the socket. My husband used a digital caliper…
