Item was defective on arrival. I look forward to seeing how this will help us. Instead it was broken and the other lock was also crushed to the point where it no longer worked. This is a big problem as I bought it specifically for the blocking system. I believe if it hadn't broke we would have used it with no further problems. I return to the manufacturer. Husband was able to install this door in a few hours and a few trips to the store for specific drills. My dogs love it. Magnets work pretty well when properly oriented. Small dogs have a harder time getting in from the outside than getting out. My biggest complaint is that we have to close the door valve every 2-3 days. I had to replace a different brand dog door and this was the closest in size and easy to install. I do DIY so I already had what I needed but it was a small list so it would be easy for anyone to do. The main thing is to use the best outdoor glue and clamp the frame properly during installation.
