They look very cool and would be great EXCEPT for the heads

From the moment my son saw them it was what he wanted for Christmas. They look really cool and would be great EXCEPT for the head, arms and yes even the legs. My 4 year old played with it for several hours and that was it. Very frustrating as it's hard to know which part goes with which character. Definitely wouldn't buy it again and wouldn't recommend it either.

Pros
  • Trial for a year
Cons
  • Little things

We liked it but they often fall apart

The first time we got so many they were broken so we sent them back and tried again. The next set came in better condition but I wouldn't call them durable. Most, if not all, lost parts and were reattached with superglue. However, they look like characters and are played with a lot. If you don't mind gluing things together and MUST have HTTYD characters, this will work.

Pros
  • Shipping was very fast
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Don't waste money

I like the material they are made of, it's solid and durable. I didn't like that most of them were broken, some of them snapped together but others had to be glued back together. Also the hammer that came with Gobert consists of two different parts. Therefore, they do not match or do not match. Also, Hiccup doesn't look like himself and has the wrong hair color. Astrid and Schnauze don't have the right hair color either.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Boring packaging

Don't waste money.

I didn't see many reviews but my kids love how to train your dragon so I bought it anyway. They only vaguely resemble the characters and you collect them when they arrive. We never understood Astrid because the connection was very poorly constructed. It took two weeks of light shows for the silver paint to wear off and the pieces to fall apart. I can't even send them back because I can't find all the parts. Such a bad buy.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slim

Also buy superglue! Not for orphanage.

Great set if you buy superglue with it! Some of the bodies didn't stay together - for example, the torso came off the legs and didn't hold up, or the helmet didn't stay on the head where it was supposed to stay on. Some helmets and accessories could not be removed. Also, if you have a toddler who loves to put things in their mouths, this set is NOT a good option for the home. VERY small details.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Another pile of plastic Made in China Garbage

Only two figures will stand up. The rest of the legs are uneven, crooked, and the plastic is so hard I can't bend them. They came with an articulated arm that everyone fell off. Hiccup's hands don't hold his sword as they are ugly. One of the characters' mace has a broken pin, so it can't even be assembled. And if you buy them for dragon cakes - they are twice the size of dragons so it won't work.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Nothing

The perfect repaint project!

I would give a 4 star rating just because yes they do look pretty goofy and are painted in places where they shouldn't be and some came with limbs ripped off. but! I will repaint them. The links snap back nicely if you hold the shackle hole over the flame for a few seconds, and then the plastic around the protrusion hardens again once you reattach it. I'm going to repaint them to look exactly like they do in the movies and for starters they're perfect. It's really great for the price. My…

VERY POORLY MADE!: Cake Toppers

I would give zero stars if possible. Some figures fell apart immediately after opening and cannot be put back together. This product is very poorly made. I could see that they were poorly painted, but I didn't expect them to fall apart the way they do. The figures' legs and arms don't move, and they can't hold their weapons, which they come with. It was a bad buy and a waste of money. My son absolutely loves the How To Train Your Dragon series and is always happy with any product related to the
