Max & Marlow 20-Inch Medium Scratch Post (32431306) Review

My 1 year old kittens took to it immediately. They like the rubber band toy that bounces when pulled. It is as strong as two games and easy to pull the rope to scratch. One suggestion would be to change the spring type. They quickly learned not to play with this toy. The spring is exercised and when they play with it and pull the toy towards them, it quickly whips back and forth and they get a hard hit on the head. You are smart and now leave the toy alone.

I like the look of this scratching post. It was relatively easy to assemble. However, despite clear instructions, we had to work hard to figure out where to put the post screw. It turned out that our hole was too small. My only real complaint with this product is that it can tip over while our cat is scratching if she scratches in the wrong direction. The poor thing scratched too hard and fell over. Otherwise it's a cute scratching post and not bad for the price.

Part of the plastic packaging was already open when I received it today and I could see imperfections in that area even before I fully unpacked it I unrolled it and saw how poorly made it was.The base is small;the material covering the base is very very thin.I could see the staples in the sisal and the bird toy looked so cheap.I have put it back in the box and sent it back today for a refund it doesn't even look like it cost $5 let alone the $20 I paid.
