I use them for work. I'm in the film business and where are these everyday things. I do about five or six of these a year. They wear out no matter how well you take care of them. So price is a consideration. I can buy this one, which is basically the same as what I can get from my local supplier, who is either an audio film store or someone who sells them on set, for a quarter of the price.
