When I ordered this ping-pong table, I didn't know that it would be such a great piece of sporting equipment. It's incredibly heavy-duty and sturdy. It comes apart in the middle -- the two halves do not connect except by the addition of the net brackets -- and it folds up well. Wow, what a difference. I bought the Joola model mid-size ping pong table first and it's no comparison. Firstly, this is the only table that truly matches the correct ratio of a full-size regulation table. The finished size of the table is 72x x 40 vs other tables like the Joola that are 72x36. I think they wanted to make each half a square, so you can utilize the tables are multi-purpose tables. My kids and I like to play ping pong. We never had quite enough room for a full size table though. In the past we used various tables or other surfaces with different styles of nets. This 3/4 size ping pong table has worked out great. Our family has always enjoyed ping pong when we found opportunities to play it. We have a finished basement but a full size table was just too big for the room and with low ceilings storage I knew would be an issue.
