Works great. Just few minutes for installation. The problem with the trunk slamming and difficult to open has been solved.

I hate when people slam my trunk and I thought (and was told in the replies) that these props actually offer decent closing resistance. 't. I mean even a bit. I even considered flipping them, but I can't because the ball sockets are different sizes at each end. These supports were easy to install, but they don't work for me.

Removal always takes a little more effort than installation. But assembly without tools and fast. You just push it into place and the ends of the lifting leg are both pre-lubed, as you can see by peeking through the hole. Works as if the old ones were new. When the trunk is released, it opens about 1 inch. And then when you lift it about 3 inches, it automatically opens fully.

Bought these to replace original parts on my 2007 Pontiac G6. The originals were so worn that they no longer offered any resistance to the trunk lid falling off, with the risk of the lid squeezing hands or the contents of the trunk when closing. Each installation took less than 5 minutes and the difference in performance was immediately apparent. Looked just as good as it did when the car was new although to be honest it's hard to remember 11 years ago to say for sure. Only time will tell if…
