My eyes are my greatest asset and I LOVE MASCARA. I was happy to find purple. However, it hardly appears purple on my lashes, even when applied over a white base coat. I applied several layers but to no avail. The product is difficult to apply and very dry.

I got a very cheap waterproof blue mascara from my local makeup store for about $2. It's great and leaves my lashes long. I get a lot of compliments for that. I wanted a non-waterproof blue mascara but I was too lazy to go to the store so I tried this product from Maybelline. First, it's not that blue on my dark lashes. Secondly, the formula itself does not lengthen or thicken the lashes in my opinion. It was lumpy and unflattering. I will not buy again. I'll stick with the cheap stuff because…

Pleasant. When applied, the color is slightly visible. But after drying, it gets so dark you don't even notice. I'm brunette with dark lashes. But the model also has dark lashes so it's not clear why mine aren't showing. Aside from the color not showing through, the mascara itself is nice, makes my lashes thicker so it's not a complete mess.

Wow, stunning purple. I use purple eyeliner on the bottom and black on top and the combination of purple and black wings looks amazing! And sometimes shimmering purple or silver eyeshadows are dramatic and year-round colors that you can wear all year round, you can even use gold eyeshadow with black and purple, a very exciting and powerful combination! This is a great mascara, I like to apply it thickly.

I loved this product based on the reviews I read but found that the brush does not allow to use it fully. I've used CoverGirl Katy Kat Eye Mascara 850 Perry Blue before and love the coverage, it's bright and clear blue. I wanted to try the purple of this brand, so I also ordered the blue. I like it but I'm disappointed. I think I will return to Covergirl. I just wish they made other colors.
