Stunning Green Glaze for Artistic Pottery!

The malachite glaze is simply gorgeous, perfectly mimicking the green hues of actual malachite. This is a great addition to any artist's glaze collection for ceramics and pottery. One downside is that it may not turn out the same on all types of clay. Overall, it's a non-toxic and high-quality glaze that will elevate any Arts and Crafts project!

Pros
  • Beautiful and vibrant malachite green color
Cons
  • Requires high firing temperature, which can be difficult for inexperienced pottery makers

Very nice in power

Vivid bright green. Remember this is LOW FIRE. Glaze. To use it for medium tone and dishwasher/microwave safe, I bake the fire bowls, then put in a ^5-6 clear glaze and fire to ^6. I then apply a low fired glaze to the parts I want to emphasize with that color, usually the textured edge or outside.

Pros
  • Sold as color
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

AMAZING COLOR - love the effect on decorative ceramics (low fire)

This glaze is simply elegant and looks best on ceramic with some surface feature, line, curve or embossed design. I was surprised by the rich color of the malachite, which also shimmers silver on the raised elements. I used a brush, applied three coats in a criss-cross pattern to ensure coverage. It dries quickly and I had no problem sticking to the cookie. I fired it according to glazing recommendations 04-05 and the results were as expected - always a plus when glazing ceramics as results can

Pros
  • Beautiful, non-toxic, dish-safe glaze in natural earth tones
Cons
  • Crumpled wrapper
