Matches the color and size perfectly with an original 1950s home toilet. It's durable and comfortable. I understand this is wood, not plastic. Installation was easy after removing the old seat, the REALLY OLD seat. Always be careful not to overtighten the screws so you don't crack the toilet, but tight enough that the seat doesn't move. And like everything else in life, a delicate balance is important. (I hope that made you laugh a little).

This seat makes me feel like I'm living a life of luxury. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is go to the bathroom, sit on this throne and defecate. It improved my daily routine, gave me confidence and energy on a daily basis and allowed me to understand myself better. Since purchasing this seat, I've learned a new language, become much more active outdoors, and somehow become a better cook. I highly recommend this chair if you want to improve your life.

I am posting my original review below but updating it with this: After 6 weeks the seat broke in half. I understand that I'm taller than average, but 6 weeks is kind of a record (usually a cheap toilet seat lasts me 7-10 years). If you're a short person you'll probably be fine, but taller people might want to try a different toilet seat. They call it "shaped wood" - short for something made from sawdust in a matrix. It looked like crumbly dough. The thin enamel surface was not enough to fix it.
