He likes it best in Reptiles & Amphibians

I originally bought a 2 pack to see if my sulcata was actually eating granules. He makes it so I ordered this large bag because it is the best value for money. I keep it in a cool dry place as I think it will take Tony a while to use up this amount. I find Mazuri pellets to be a great complement to his greens, especially in winter.

Pros
  • Feed your tortoise a hay-based grass diet. Low-starch timothy grass hay in smaller grains.
Cons
  • Tape

My red footed turtle enjoys it.

My 18 year old red footed tortoise loves this food in addition to her veggies, fruits and veggies. The bags sold at the pet stores near me are expensive and small, and it annoys me when she's picky and refuses to eat the turtle chow I've prepared for her. I keep it in a 5 gallon bucket to prepare for her, I add water and sometimes different fruits or their vitamins if needed. And she can be as fussy as she will be and I just compost what she doesn't eat.

Pros
  • Optimizing gastrointestinal health. High-fiber pellets with live probiotic cultures.
Cons

Mazuri LS - Basic Tortoise Food

I have three leopard tortoises (Stigmochelys pardalis, 2 different varieties) ranging in age from 5 to 16 years and about 12 inches long. The two younger tortoises were raised on a Mazuri LS diet, starting with smaller pellets and progressing to the larger size at around 18 months of age. The oldest was transferred to the Mazuri LS when he was about 8 years old. In the summer, turtles roam (and snack on) the grassy yard and receive a flower or lettuce leaf as a reward. However, Mazuri LS…

Pros
  • Keep your pet thriving with a healthy diet. In addition, this turtle food contains no artificial colors or flavors.
Cons
  • Shelter
