Perfect for storing my bike on my short bed

Attached to the 2x6 piece on the front of my F150 short bed for transporting bikes when camping. Strap-on clips through bike racks hold bikes securely for many miles. I had to be careful with the aluminum base and screw it in so as not to chew the metal with the screw heads.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Perfect for a short bed truck

I bought two of these and mounted them on 2x6's to carry 2 bikes in the back of my Chevy Colorado with a short bed and a top. Initially I wasn't sure I needed anything to stabilize the rear tire, but once the rear tire was clamped into this block it proved solid. Simply remove the board when not in use.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Something different

Does what it's supposed to do

I wanted our road bikes to fit in the trunk of my truck. I set them to 2X4, it was quick, it was easy and they work! I was a bit worried when I saw that they don't have a spring like regular skewers to widen the holes. Once I've played with it, it's manageable, even leaning over the tailgate with a bike fork in one hand. But that's why 4 stars and not 5, and for the price and quality they deserve 4 stars.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Compatibility

Difficult to close and feels secure

For the money this is a great fork mount. This leaves a lot to be desired in terms of clamping comfort and secure haptics. I bought 2 of these to attach to my truck and getting them tight enough to feel secure isn't as easy as most. I have used/owned several other brands of fork mounts and they have all been much easier to fit. If you are looking for a quick and cheap way to assemble your bike then this is it; but I still don't feel completely safe when cycling on the Autobahn.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Poorly designed

Good value for money. You can use an axle spacer.

Due to all the bike buying caused by COVID I couldn't find a stock bike stand that I like so I made my own using this fork mount. Works great on my circa 1994 mountain bike. On my 2016 bike, the nylon quick release lever nut is pressed into my fork, so I need to find a washer that is 9mm ID and 1mm thick. Maybe a 3/8 ID washer will work without the big OD. MBP suggestions are welcome. I mounted it on a 1 x 5 x 4 foot board and used Yakima round bar carriage bolts to hold it in place. 2 in…

Solid fork mount and great value

I was looking for a pair of fork mount bike mounts to attach to Rhino-Rack Aero Vortex crossbars. I was honestly shocked at how expensive most of them were. Then I was shocked how much they are cheaper. Decided to try them out and see if they fit my setup. Perfect. They're made of heavy metal, so there's a feeling of strength once they're bolted to the frame. The quick release clamp looks like it needs to move a bit more when the lever is closed, but so far it's holding up well and firmly. The…
