These are good base brushes for make-up or painting. They are packaged in a very plain plastic envelope and come with a very plain set of brush guards, mostly corrugated plastic straws. The brushes themselves don't shed much and have fairly stiff but flexible bristles wrapped in metal tips. At a relatively low price, they fully justify themselves and are an excellent choice for many purposes.

This brush set is not quite what I expected. I was hoping for pointy tips to do nail art, but they're only pointy until you add liquid - varnish, acetone, water. Then the brushes straighten up and become like a small brush. That would be fine except it doesn't really help in getting a fine line on the nails. They might have been appropriate for other environments, but they weren't quite what they claim.

These cheap and fun brushes work quite well. They have short handles that are very easy to hold. Ferrules are not the best quality. I noticed that the compression was not consistent across all brushes. The pair had a weak mount that had to be pushed back in. The brush heads themselves are fine. The heads are triangular wedge-shaped; the bristles are flattened in one direction and remain relatively stiff along the flat direction, making them very versatile. I don't think they'll last that long…

They didn't look good on the product page but I needed strong brushes for watercolor blending techniques. I like to use a masking fluid that ruins art brushes. Good nail brushes usually work much better. They are also great for applying watercolors. These brush tips will not wear out or break. Beautiful cherry colored handles, light and comfortable in the hand. They have no rust or cracks. In fact, they still look the same as they did before use. I use this brush for different techniques because I paint a lot with watercolors and also oil pastels. The brush has a very soft feel and is great for spreading out the medium as well as creating softer shadows and blending different colors, especially with oil pastels. The wooden handle is comfortable to hold, not heavy or too light, and feels like a quality brush.

I wasn't as happy with it as I expected. . Flattened, increasing. I dipped the brush in cleaning acetone (put it in a bottle) and the wooden handle became very sticky. I tried wiping it off but had to set it aside to dry. Wood looks good, but plastic would be better. This set could be better for painting.
