Best Nuts Available

Best Nuts Available. The two-piece acorn design won't scratch your rims. The key wrench is thin but strong for the tuner wheels. 3rd set on different cars and no problems after 6 years of use. Never rust!

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Protection

Top Quality Nuts - Accessories and Parts

Very high quality workmanship that looks as good years later as it did the day it was installed. I used them on my previous car for 7 years and they were still perfect. Make sure you don't use impact wrenches on them and retighten them after a few miles.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • High price

Looks good, terrible quality

They are not supposed to chip, they chipped when I took them off the second time. During the second removal, the locking heads broke and had to be torn off. To top it off the spline wrench split in half and now I had to rip them all off and definitely put in a different set of lug nuts. Why they made an aluminum key is insane.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

They do not come with valve stems as shown in the picture.

Let me say that first. They do not come with valve stems as shown. It's a bit frustrating as I've bought these cleats 3 times and always had valve stems and now they're gone and the picture shows them. Well, nothing compares qualitatively to these ears. They're solid and the paint hasn't come off on any of my moldings yet.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good

Wedges turn well, wedge nuts rust.

Looks great, especially compared to my black wheels. The splined drives appear to have a good finish, but after less than a year the splined lugs in the key pattern area began to rust. Better regular spline drives on all lugs than a rusty locker on each wheel. I actually tried buying 4 gold wedge washers to do just that, but McGard seems to only sell gold in full sets.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

The gold glitter coating has come off.

First of all before I get mad I'm not here to scold the quality of the lug nuts which I think are pretty good quality. BUT! For a set that costs about $100, all of my (gold colored) nutlocks go chrome plated. So does that lead me to believe they just sprayed a thin coat of shiny gold on the locks? The other nuts are ok but ALL 4 nut locks were gold and now they are chrome what should I do about that?! Again, for what should be great quality and let me repeat again, around $100 hence the 2 star…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Flamboyant
