Enhance Wheel Installation with McGard 84527 Black Cone Seat Kit (M14 X 1.5 Thread Size - 5 Lug Wheels) Review

Revain really screwed it up. Although this kit is stated to fit a standard 2017 RAM aluminum wheel, you will need a BULGE ACORN LUGNUT! This is not the set for you! The wheel lock in this kit works but nothing else. I do not return nuts as I have a boat that suits them otherwise they would already be in the return vehicle. As a Mopar owner, please be careful when relying on the 'Will this fit my car' feature. McGard 64074 Nuts are just what you need to get the job done.

As others have said, they don't fit my standard 17" rims on my 2015 RAM. The cone seat is not large enough. Firestone was cumbersome to install.

I have my standard black powder coated rims and wanted the mounting nuts to match. They were perfect and had a lock that my standard nuts didn't have. The only downside was the nut was a different size than the original nut so I had to buy a wrench. Small inconveniences.

All in all a great set but should include an "Extra Thin Wall" outlet. The MFG website recommends these for aluminium/aftermarket wheels and I found them to be too large - 22mm plus a standard bushing. So buy an ETW head with this kit or test it in an impeller before you start!

I first bought Gorilla studs and wasn't impressed at all with the care that was given to them. They came in a plain box with minimal packaging, all ears cellophane wrapped.
