All 120 pieces work right out of the box with no extra time or burn tests. It's not a discharge case, it's designed to be used fairly "straight". The 4.6V power supply and 200 ohm series resistor are suitable for testing, noting that the lower Vdrop colors were slightly brighter due to the higher current. The colors are beautiful, I especially like the pink. A good buy if you're looking for a variety of 5mm color LEDs for projects.

Lots of bright color LEDs and the whole package costs less than just shipping at any electronics store. If you're building circuits with flashing lights like I am, you can't go wrong. The pink and orange LEDs in particular are unlike any other I've seen and can make your project unique. "Purple" is actually UV-AFAICT. I wanted to be in awe of the yellow-greens, but they're very boring. Not with Star Docking though, as without them the package would have been a great bargain anyway!

These will work. I haven't tested all of them. If you're new to LED projects, it's important to note that voltage requirements vary for different colors. I skipped that and fried the first few RED LEDs. My fault it says right there in the description: W/G/B: 3V-3.2VR/Y: 2V-2.2V This means that White, Green and Blue use 3.2 volts. But red and yellow only use 2-2.2 volts. If you treat everyone equally, you'll quickly burn your red and yellow. Choose resistors accordingly.
