MCS 16x20 Inch Linen Lined Shadowbox: Elegant Black Display Case (40956) Review

This was one of the best packaged glass items I've ever bought from Revain. It also has a lot more depth than advertised if you remove a piece of foam. I was able to fit a thick folded men's shirt as part of an eyeshadow box I made.

Not deep enough to reveal a garment or anything deep. It is suitable for paper or painting. I think it's pretty cheap as the back is thin cardboard held together with tiny metal tabs that you flex. In the reality; This value was supposed to be $12, but I was disappointed.

Looks very solid. I'm not a fan of the back, the little things you pick up are small and hurt just trying to use your hands. They also seem to fall off if you open and close them multiple times. It only comes with a few pins, so I suggest finding a cheap box of the ones you like at Walmart or Target.

After reading the reviews I decided to buy a few to hang autographed football shirts. Oversized t-shirts for men fit well, but I had trouble fitting into larger t-shirts. I managed to put them all on but they are a bit tight and I wouldn't recommend them for jerseys larger than L. But they held up well. There are no cracks in the glass or frame.

For the price you get a great frame with a board with pins so you can slip your jersey over the board, tie it tightly behind the frame and pin it securely so there are no creases or waves. . I like this a lot. I needed something big for a 12x12 karate board that my son broke - his first! It was so hard to find but this gem showed up and saved the day. Not the best quality - the inside edge of one side of my frame was torn, the paint was peeling. When I paint over it, it shouldn't be noticeable unless you look closely. Also, the linen panel is frayed, leaving threads in the frame. The styrofoam backing that the canvas board is glued to is very cheap, the kind that leaves white, static chunks of styrofoam that will stick to anything. Generally a nice frame. I had an autographed item I wanted and it worked well. I gave it four stars for a number of reasons: 1) The included pins for attaching items to the canvas/foam board can bend very easily and are visible, contrary to what is shown in the photos on the product page. 2) The canvas/foam sheet was slightly bent upon arrival. Nothing that would radically change the final product, but worth mentioning nonetheless.
