Description of Mechanical knife sharpener Wusthof Sharpeners 4347, ceramic/carbide, black

Even the most perfect blade needs periodic sharpening over time. Even knives made of the legendary Damascus steel require such specific care, so a convenient tool for sharpening knives must be present in every kitchen. The Wuesthof knife sharpener is designed to fix more serious flaws on the knife blade than the musat. In the grooves of the sharpener, diamond and ceramic elements are installed, which are fixed in a certain position and control the observance of the correct sharpening angle when straightening the blade. Before using a mechanical sharpener, read the sharpening instructions. Use the sharpener only on a flat and well-fixed surface. To avoid possible breakage of the sharpener, during sharpening, the pressure of the knife on the sharpener should be moderate. Number of sharpening stages: 2. Abrasive material: ceramics. Country: Germany. Sharpening angle: 15 degrees.

It was a bad idea to buy it, the money was wasted.

I read good reviews. Thought it was a cool thing. In practice, Soviet emery sharpens much better and more reliably, as it turned out, this toy, which is produced at a factory in China, but the brand is German. Everything is relative. I do not recommend the product for purchase. The choice is yours.

Pros
  • Non-slip base, firmly held on the table when sharpening. Fits comfortably in either hand.
Cons
  • Sharpening for a short time, quickly spoils the knife. After sharpening, a lot of chips remain, hence the consumption of metal.

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

I sharpened a Wusthof knife that is 7 years old already. The sharpener worked great. Comfortable to hold, non-slip. Two slots: one rough (metal . already chips appear) the second finish (like ceramic). Satisfied with the result. The knife is sharper. I recommend. Didn't regret it.

Pros
  • Sharpens great. Small chips are present when sharpening. Then I pass the finish line and that's it. Excellent contraption!
