I really liked these shoes on my granddaughter (I bought her two pairs in different sizes. They are not tight and have nice grippy material on the heel and foot area on the soles). The daycare said they didn't provide enough support, so another grandma bought her lace-up ankle-length shoes. The shoes are very cute, I just had to buy one size down because the ones I originally received were huge.
