🌟 Mega Bloks Star Collector Construction: Ignite Creativity with Stellar Building Fun! Review

The set is fun. The main difference between legos and megablocks is that megablocks only contain the required number of bricks. The minifigures are a bit stiff. I recommend boiling them for a few seconds to break their bindings. The resemblance of the actors is pretty good for the scale. I also like how these sets relate to specific episodes. I would like to see more sets. Especially if we ever have an infirmary. Or maybe an accessory pack.

I bought this to complete the Enterprise Bridge and Transporter Room sets. The figures look great and the engineering panel feels right at home alongside the other two ship sets in the series. My only criticism is that the sword hilts fit oddly in the character's hand. I almost broke the arm of one of the Klingon characters before realizing that the handle was actually an oval shape that only fit one way.

WOW!. I was skeptical at first because this isn't LEGO. I dared and I'm glad I did. Is Mega Bloks Pepsi next to Coke? I'm not sure about that. The quality of the parts is excellent. I was expecting the K-reo's "loose fit" but the pieces fit tighter than LEGO. I know because I've built a lot in my 47 years. Switch to LEGO, MEGA BLOKS figures are fun and new, and they stack better than any LEGO figure, and they don't break in your hands like K-REO figures. Also, no stickers!

Dove Day is a good set for getting certain characters, but I've noticed an issue with it. The arms of the Star Trek characters appear to be slightly off. Specifically, one arm of each character (Scotty, Chekov, and 2 Klingons) is too narrow or too small to hold swords or other Mega Bloks items. Neither arm is broken yet, but you can see the line inside the arm where it was strained. So be careful when you put things in their hands. Really well made at a very good price. It is quick and easy to assemble, after assembly it becomes very durable. I appreciate the care that went into modeling this part of the TOS engine room. Before this issue, I didn't realize that Scotty, Chekov, and fifty percent of the Klingons were left-handed, but now I know! A great addition to other sets in this series.
