The package was sent in the original packaging and had a shipping label on the front. It was a gift and a terrible presentation when unwrapped at a party. The item is cute and made for a good gift.

I say easy to assemble but that doesn't mean it wasn't a problem. My ten year old did it in 2.5 hours. In fact, she was silent, reading all the instructions and working on them. I should look for more of this.

My 5 year old loved the finished product but it took over an hour to put together. Many parts are very difficult to put together. The design is great and my son loves the posable ears, arms, tail and legs and loves that Pikachu can pose.

MANY parts were missing when we cut open the packages in the box. The first bag we opened contained Pokemon figure parts, and about half of them were missing. My granddaughter was in tears! Checked other bags - to no avail. The instructions weren't as clear as the LEGO instructions. So disappointed!

Pros: Build quality and paint job is good. It had no missing parts. I really like the mechanism where Pikachu's magnifying glass rotates next to his head. The tail has a spring so it can wiggle. The hat can be rotated along with the legs. It's so cute and so nice to collect. Cons: The instructions weren't 100% accurate, resulting in me putting in the wrong parts or skipping a few parts and having to redo.
