Top-of-the-line 85mm macro lens

This is a great macro lens and a real bargain for the money. As a macro lens, it delivers 150% magnification and crystal clear images. I'm attaching a photo I took with the sheet in the available light and with this lens. As a "regular" 85mm lens, it's excellent and very sharp. My version has a Nikon Z mount. This lens is available with mounts for other cameras.

Excellent lens

I am new to macro photography and this is my first macro lens. However, I really like this lens. I like that you can get 1.5x magnification. It doesn't have an autofocus feature, which may be difficult for some. And it was a little difficult to adjust to such a shallow depth of field, but that has nothing to do with the lens itself. Overall I would recommend.

Not a win-win situation

Pros: 1. This lens truly delivers an unrivaled 1.5:1.2 magnification. It is well built.3. He's sharp enough. Bad: 1. The mount's alignment point is where it was in the F-mount version. Now that the lens has been lengthened to accommodate the Z-mount's shorter effective distance, the point is too far from the lens mount .2. The aperture ring has no clicks.3. The aperture ring is narrow and recessed, making it difficult to use.4. The lens is nowhere near as sharp as the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 VR. So…
