Excellent value for camera and photo

primary lens. Ideal for standard shots. Really sharp shots. Smaller than I thought but compact for travel. I use it for my anamorphic setup. Good value for money!

Good for professionals

The lens was good and made of good material. But I'm an amateur photographer, so the lack of autofocus didn't suit me. It's good if you know how to use the manual.

Outstanding quality for the price.

For portrait photos I use it now. These photos were taken with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH3 with a Meike 50mm f1.7 manual focus lens. They will of course be processed. The construction of the lens is very solid and of high quality. Focusing and aperture setting are very smooth, I recommend.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Some bugs

Excellent color reproduction, nice bokeh, solid construction

The first thing that struck me was the build quality of this lens. Immediately it felt so tight in my hand. The focus ring and aperture are excellent. I like the click-free manual controls because I can get everything right. The focus is sharp. At f1.7, the depth of field is incredibly shallow, which is great for portrait shots with beautiful bokeh. At f4, the depth of field is sharp enough to easily follow moving subjects in video. I will benefit a lot from this lens and I have a feeling it…

Great lens for m43 cameras

I bought this lens along with several other Meike Cine lenses and was excited to get the Cine 50mm. Originally I was only going to use it for close-ups in music videos and to increase depth of field, but I ended up using it in a much more unexpected way. The demand for more depth of field has always been a problem for me with the m43 sensor, so this lens was perfect. The focus is tight and the lens is metal and solid (unlike the 'Great Fifty' which gives great results but feels like I might…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • The list will be long.
