I use it on a rounded chair back and it works great. I also put a mouse pad on it and it works very well with my small laptop mouse. It is very durable and well made.

I bought 2 of these for our caster lounge chair. We don't have room for side tables so we hoped they would work. My husband hates her. He's gotten out of his chair many times and got his hands caught accidentally putting them on this holder and he doesn't like that drinks are easily knocked over. It also slides over our leather sofa. If you just want to install something (e.g. a remote control, glasses, etc.) this will work. Not suitable for storing liquids.

Great for my two chairs. I actually bought this to use as a flat surface for my mouse because I use my chair as a work chair for health reasons. My trackball mouse kept falling off the back of the chair even though I added a flat bottom to it. Since I've had this I haven't had a problem with it falling, and if I want to after work I can take the daybed to my pull-out couch to use as a surface for my phone and drinks.
