👛 Frye Melissa Snap Leather Continental Wallet Review

This wallet is amazing. I had a sneaker purse for 10 years until the zipper broke so I was hesitant to buy anything else. I bought 2 other cheaper wallets and was very disappointed. When I saw it, I realized it could be "one". I hoped so! It's beautiful, smells great, goes with everything (but not your phone), and has slots for absolutely everything. I know this will be my last wallet for at least another 10 years. I love it.

I bought this with a Frye bag I recently bought (which I love!) Soft but. After only a few weeks of use, it's already badly scratched. I don't have many things in my purse and what I have shouldn't/shouldn't cause as many scratches. I've never had a problem like this with my wallet. Considering the price of the wallet, I expect it to hold up much better. I am very disappointed with this purchase. 😔

The purse is chic, but I had to send it back because there was no space for the checks and the check register. If I didn't need it for controls I would rate it 5 stars. I bought the exact same icy wallet from my local Dillard'd store 2 years ago. I recently bought a new dark brown Frye bag (from Revain) and decided on a purse to match. The handbag is very nice and resembles Frye quality. However, this wallet looks like a Fry until you pick it up and open it. I don't know why this is labeled as a Melissa phone wallet when it is a Melissa foldover wallet. It's roomier than I originally expected, and the leather is nice and soft. I'm always torn between brown and black wallets and slate is the perfect medium. As with any Frye product, the smell of leather is always delightfully intoxicating. However, I'm a bit disappointed that the back of the wallet didn't have a leather label that said 'Frye' at the bottom. However, I think I'm willing to ignore it…
