I liked this toy initially and had it on the shelf in my son's play area just because it looked so cute but by the time my son turned 9 months old and taking it off for him to examine, I found that the paint had chipped off one of the blocks. We love Melissa and Doug's products and this one is great. The only problem is that the paint on the inside of the holes comes off due to the friction as they move back and forth, but my son loves it. He's obsessed with old school plastic so I figured he'd love that. I was right. He looked surprised when I gave it to him. That's what you want when you give a child a toy. It's colorful and bright.
