I didn't dare to buy my son just because of conflicting reviews, but I'm very glad I dared! It's all great quality and I love all the touch gadgets on it. The one in my head isn't too heavy and doesn't fall off at all. Looks exactly like the picture to be honest

Giddy Up & Play Horse is soft, well made, has lots of fun features and is suitable for the recommended age group (9+ months). My 11 month old granddaughter loves to sit on it but needs help getting in and out. Since she can touch the ground with her feet, she likes to hop up and down while holding on to her mane. There are many learning features that we will use as it grows. Luckily, the battery for the pops and whinnies is replaceable (or removable if you get tired of hearing them).

I bought this horse for my 6 month old grandson for Christmas. It is very colorful and has many small toys attached to it. My grandson loves to sit on it and jump with me to support him. The problem is that the horse doesn't sit up straight. He leans to one side. When jumping, the head falls forward with the baby. The battery pack was also riveted - either that or the screw had already been torn off. I had to pry open it with a office knife and a screwdriver. The battery cover is now glued on.

Excellent head, straight stand, battery at the base of the neck so as not to strain the head or neck. Great sound, requires two triple A batteries to operate, press your ear to whine and rattle. Not too loud, not too quiet. A toddler can play with LOTS of tactile details, which is very, very fun. Even adults in the house play with it. I bought the first one for my 9 month old granddaughter, today I bought the second one for my 2 year old granddaughter.

This is a charming horse. I bought one for my granddaughter and she loves it. So I decided my grandson needed one. I ordered it. Receive. That too is charming. That's the problem. The whinny and gallop button does not work. I returned it and sent a replacement. Same problem. For the price you're paying for this horse, the sound effects should work. Two out of three horses did not work. These statistics are not encouraging. I cannot recommend this horse at this price due to sound effect…

This horse is adorable, but it can't be washed, which is very important! The website says it does, but further investigation revealed it was just a 'spot clean' (it has a whinnying voice box that can't be removed for washing). does little to pique their curiosity for more than 5 minutes. Surprisingly, Melissa & Doug's product isn't worth the money. And the return period is quite short given the difficulties due to Covid restrictions etc. One month and three days of delivery during the holiday…

Love it. It's cute and made of quality materials. For this reason it gets 2 stars. However, as others have reported, you really have to knock the horse unconscious for it to make any noise. The head dangles, causing the horse to fall. With his head tipping over at the slightest touch, our 10 month old has nothing to hold on to when sitting. The only reason I bought it was the concept of our kid using it as a safe toddler jumper, as such it's a miserable failure. For crafting, you can fix this…
