🚚 Melissa & Doug Shape-Sorting Wooden Dump Truck Toy: Colorful Shapes & Play Figures Included! Review

Our son loves trucks and this is his favorite at the moment. He's small so he can't sort shapes yet and gets frustrated, but he enjoys just pushing the truck and playing with the little wooden people. My only complaint has to do with durability as the base of the truck wobbles from side to side too much and doesn't feel as solid. And there are no screw heads to tighten. I hope he survives any future blows.

I received this as a birthday gift for my 1 year old daughter - it is a well made toy and I am happy with my purchase. My daughter loves to grab little people and chew on their heads. She's new to shape sorting and not really interested in a truck yet, but she likes scavengers! I like that there are both men and women among the people, fair-skinned and dark-skinned. Who said trucks are only for boys?

I normally trust Melissa & Doug products but this was a huge disappointment. There is no way to attach the storage compartment to the truck bed. When our 2 year old grandson tried to push the truck the box went up and hit him in the face cutting his lip in the process. If it's not going to be used as a truck then why would it need moving wheels! We had to take back the gift to prevent further injuries. This little blue truck was a hit with my 21 month old. He started playing with it as soon as I took it out of the box. He likes to drop the pieces on the floor and put them back. I see that it will help him to learn the numbers. All figures are beautifully painted with primary and secondary colors. This toy is a favorite in our house. I like that it doubles as a shape sorter and truck. My boys love that they can haul other stuff in the back of a dump truck. It's easy to push and my boys love to play with it. The shapes that go into the shape sorter are just right for little hands. Not too small to choke on, but not too big to hold.
