🪞 Wooden Puzzle Mirror by Melissa & Doug Review

Got this for my 8 month old daughter when I opened it I noticed part of the cat was already cracked she definitely wouldn't like it until to use on the teeth. Very disappointing as it specifically states that it is a durable wood but it is not.

Some animals were missing fur, looking a bit updated. I only noticed when I opened it. Thought she would do the same over time. I didn't want to go through all the difficulties. She didn't accept it either. So it lies in the room like a paperweight. I hope she does it in time.

This puzzle is fine. I thought our little one would be more into this, especially with textured details, but that's not the case. Now it's at the bottom of the toy box. It is heavily worn even after multiple games. not suitable for teething, salivating children.

For the price of this item I expected top quality. Arrived in a shrink wrap from the manufacturer but the paint has already peeled off in some places. I thought they would notice something similar in production. I think Melissa & Doug isn't as good as it used to be?

I love Melissa and Doug puzzles but this one was disappointing. All of our other wooden handle puzzles are color coded so they won't be damaged if our daughter bites into them. This puzzle has a sticker design that is easy for a child to chew. I had to put it out of reach so she wouldn't mess up again. I'm disappointed in Melissa and Doug. Skip this puzzle.

This is a very nice product. My son loves the design and the feel of the details. What is frustrating, however, is that the jigsaw puzzle for younger children is made of cardboard or something larger than wood. So when he puts the pieces in his mouth, they get wet and puff up a little. However, the puzzle pieces don't appear to be as affected as the actual board, which got wet when he drooled and the image later peeled off.

Ugh, another poor quality puzzle from Melissa & Doug. Paint is peeling off the edges of the pieces, the touch cloth doesn't completely fill the indentations in the pieces, there are small drops of glue that stick to the mirror, and there's a weird sticky film on the puzzle board where the pieces are supposed to sit. You can see this in my bird photo - the reflection of the ceiling light brings out the texture of the rest. This is in all four puzzle piece slots.

I bought this set for my nephew a while back but didn't take it out of the box before giving it as a gift. I ended up buying this for my daughter for Christmas and found that even though it's advertised as pieces of wood, it's actually covered with a layer of cardboard-like material. This product is intended for an age group that normally teethes. Any amount of moisture will soften the pieces and start to fall apart.
