Good, but the paint has chipped off at the top

This chest has a lot of good stuff, it's easy to assemble, it looks good, the lid closes slowly and it's a great size for the price. However, the paint on the lid came off almost immediately. The middle part of the lid is a separate thin piece of wood that flexes and separates from the outer part and main shavings at the seam. I've already assembled it so I'm not sending it back but I expect it will get worse because the kids are definitely pushing it, sitting on it etc.

PLEASE READ AND NOTE THE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK!

ZERO STARS: Please read the negative reviews on this product! This is absolute junk! I read the negative reviews but decided to buy it. My husband put it together very carefully, but the screws on the hinges didn't hold and literally broke out of the wood. You cannot use longer screws as the wood is very thin. So he went to the hardware store and bought screws with a slightly larger diameter. nope! The toy box is ruined, as is one of our two grandson gifts. Come back! What a pity!

READ THIS BEFORE BUYING - Assembly instructions are misleading, quality could be improved

Bought for a Christmas present based on reviews and that it was a little larger than others. Nothing damaged and well packaged. Good hardware package. The building instructions started well until it came to attaching the lid. You'll notice in the first picture I've attached that the lid is slanted. This is not well illustrated in the instructions and is not discussed at all in the written instructions, see images. The first thing I noticed was that the holes for the support loops didn't line up
