I have been using these for over 25 years. ideal performance. I have occasionally tried some of the less expensive brands and found them inadequate.

Non-toxic alternative to bleached filters

These natural filters contain no bleach (dioxin!) for our 12-14 cup jug. Have been using them for years. You can compost too!

Use #6 in Cuisinart coffee maker

The Cuisinart filter is slightly larger than the basket. Fold in the filter seams and fold the excess filter on a flat surface.

It's hard to find Melita #6 filters in stores.

I have ground coffee myself and have been using the drip method for many years. I love my Melita and use it every day. I could use a gold filter, but it's messy and not as easy as paper filters.

Pros
  • 1 year trial
Cons
  • Compatibility

The best coffee filters! Doesn't affect the taste!

I grew up with these coffee filters. You won't find this size in stores near me now! I was glad I found her here and swiped a deal. They leave no aftertaste and go well with standard sized pourovers (I believe the standard size is at least 10 cups). They never broke for me. I'm glad I stocked up on 12 packs!

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Some cons

> Mellita coffee system

I have been using the Mellita coffee system for about 40 years. I find this system more convenient than coffee machines. If the power goes out, you can still make coffee if you have a gas stove or camp stove. You want, including adapting to new roasts and grinds. You can even mix decaf and decaffeinated coffee if you like. I often reuse my morning coffee in the afternoon by adding a scoop of decaf. This is not recommended for a fully automatic coffee machine, because if you clog the filter…

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Quality
