MEMOREX 50 Printable DVD Spindle Review

I thought branded items should be better than ordinary ones. in this case is definitely not true. These were without a doubt the worst DVDs I have ever used. I would say 1/3 to 1/2 of the discs were cup holders or defective in some way. Buy tdk or verbatim instead.

These are the worst DVDs ever bought. I bought 2 packs of 50 and the first had an 80% failure rate, I returned the second pack. I called Memorex and they replaced the defective ones with Imation brands which worked great but were tedious and time consuming to replace. I will never buy a Memorex DVD again.

I have an HP Media Center with 16x DVD +_ burners, but it won't burn to these DVDs. I had several GQ+R DVDs before and had no problems. HP has stated that its recorders may have compatibility issues with the Memorex, Maxell and TDK brands - they recommend using the HP (yes!) and Sony brands so that didn't help. I buy them locally and I can't do without them. I have an HP, Toshiba and MacAIR with a recording peripheral. I work with a small company with many levels of technical support. I have found that both my HP and Mac have a failure rate ten times higher than Memorex drives. Also, I like the print function, I can print a customer data CD or DVD printed with my logo and disc contents on my printer, or you can just write on it.
