Doesn't work with SONY DRU-510A

I bought these because they were great value for money and had good reviews. Unfortunately 7 of the 9 discs I tried to burn this afternoon ended up in the trash. Another reviewer mentioned that these drives didn't work with their 2 year old SONY - I think that's my story too. I just ordered a newer SONY drive. It may have something to do with my burner but I just burned 50 Memorex discs which worked great with my old 4X SONY. I think these are different drives. I will wait for my new drive to…

Two problems: DVD-Rs

Problem number one is that the printing surface does NOT look as bright and clean as other brands. This would reduce it to 4 stars. Problem number two is that the batch I received was previously opened and closed. Not suitable for transport due to the lack of thin spacers at the top of the stack. Some were plastic, some were missing entirely. One star to the seller for that. The plastic cover is almost torn off. Hard drives work. I haven't had a single crash yet (in my experience most crashes…

TWO TYPES OF PRINT.

I have purchased these drives many times and ALWAYS GREAT. always flat surface for inkjet printing. However, the last two times I've been sent UNMATCHED DVDs with a BRIGHT AND UNCOATED FINISH. I don't dare open the package and had to send them back TWICE. The label says PRINTABLE and IMPRIMABLE. When I buy them from a local store, they are flat, smooth, and printable with my inkjet printer. The ones I get from this Revain order are lumpy and shiny. I think AMAZON should distinguish if they are…

How do you know?

A lot has been said here in the comments about the durability and quality of this and other discs, although interestingly I've found much less when searching the web. It seems to have been a problem a few years ago and less so now. I ordered and received two 100 DVD spindles in good condition and immediately before printing I copied a large number of photographic images onto 100 of them. There were no errors and printing went well. I wonder if some of the issues are related to the age and…

quality discs. Great print materials

Love or hate the Memorex brand. Despite the well-known brand name. Some people have terrible results with it. Others have amazing results. As everyone says. Make sure your recorders support Memorex media. Check your discs after burning to be sure. If they shine properly. Then you shouldn't have any problems with it. I was also very satisfied with the print quality. It's not just a printing center. Print all the way from the hole to the outer edge of the disc. But it also holds ink well. I have…
