A lot has been said here in the comments about the durability and quality of this and other discs, although interestingly I've found much less when searching the web. It seems to have been a problem a few years ago and less so now. I ordered and received two 100 DVD spindles in good condition and immediately before printing I copied a large number of photographic images onto 100 of them. There were no errors and printing went well. I wonder if some of the issues are related to the age and quality of the DVD printers and readers being used. I have an external Lacie Firewire recorder that replaced a recently broken one, and hundreds of recordings that I immediately recorded were made on this unit. I have other much older DVD readers that sometimes fail to read a particular file (CRC error) but find it readable on a newer device. I have no comment other than to say that these DVDs were recorded and printed with no errors, they were a pretty good deal and I have no complaints. I don't know if the fact that I burned image files (RAW and PSD files for PhotoShop) and not video or music files made a difference, but I'm not sure why they would.
