I received this USB memory card reader to replace the one that came with my computer. It's slightly larger than a regular USB drive, has two types of USB connectors on each end, is lightweight, and very easy to use. I put the micro SD card I use for my camera in its slot, then plugged it into my computer's USB port and my computer recognized it automatically. I'm really excited to be transferring photos from my camera's micro SD card to my computer again.

The speed is not impressive. It's listed as USB 3.0, but don't expect to use that. The listing doesn't make any speed claims, so maybe it has a 3.0 connection and something else is causing the slower transfer speeds I've seen, so this may not be a false claim. USB 3.0 doesn't necessarily mean you'll get as high speeds as the connection allows if the device can't use it. This one doesn't even come close. Great device for transferring data, pictures or writing. There are plastic rods at the ends of the train to keep the insert heads secure on the caps, nice touch. Another feature I really like is the addition of a TF slot to store the new TransFlash card. The days of SD slots in computers and tablets are over, at least for Apple products. This card reader works with both micro and normal SD cards. In addition, it connects to USB and USB-C ports. Because my MacBook Pro and iPad Pro have USB-C ports and my motion-activated camcorder records to a micro SD card, I don't need an adapter, which I often lose.
