Rivets fell out of the collar and fell apart. Also, I thought at first that it didn't matt its fur behind its ears, but found out later that it did. I tried to contact Revain but because it was purchased using my husband's email address they wouldn't let me do it and I couldn't get my husband to give me his email address for it.

I have had this collar for 24 hours. It wasn't even on the dog except to test the size. The brass buckles and D-ring are already (or arrived) tarnished! I haven't touched water yet, but now the humidity is 90%. I have a few other dog gears with brass fittings that have survived swimming, rain etc so that's pretty disappointing.

I love rolled leather collars. They can literally last a lifetime and will only soften with age. This is no exception. A bit stiff at first, but the measuring instructions were correct. I ordered as directed and my Daschund/Hound mix wears it on the center hole. A little redder than I expected but I expect variations with the skin. Nylon does not fade and absorbs less odor and oil than flat leather. I would order this item again.

This collar is very well made and looks very stylish! I just wish it would fit my dog. It's a bit stiff but I'm sure it will soften over time. The manual clearly says "measure from the buckle to the center hole". My dog's neck is 16 inches long when he shaves so I like to have more so we can adjust when his fur grows back and I've taken that into account - oops. exquisite collar for a discerning dog! I didn't think my dog could look any cuter, but he looks better in this collar! It's really well made - arrived a bit stiff and after reading one of the reviews I was a little nervous it was going to be hard to crack - but not at all. There was a spot on the inside of the collar where the leather piece was a bit bulged - I just filed it down a bit with a nail file and that helped. Highly recommended!

I was worried about the price but the collar is worth it. I bought two, one for each springer spaniel, 16 inches. One dog is 15 inches, the other 16 inches and this size fits in the middle hole. The front strap is nice, wide and the hardware is excellent quality. They are a little stiff, like any good leather at first. I worked them with my hands, bending and twisting them while watching TV and they softened nicely. I expect them to get even softer with wear. Very nice, comfortable collars that

This rolled collar looks great on my Australian Cattle Dog. I gave it 4 stars because it was very stiff when it arrived and didn't sit well on her fur. So we soaked it in a little olive oil in a resealable plastic bag for about 3 days to speed up the cracking process. It's much more flexible and much softer. Since skin is skin to skin I chose a chemical free fabric softener, I'm sure other products will work just as well. Update December 2014 She wears the collar every day. It dries quickly…
