I had a blast sending these precious little lights to my friends and family. You'll light them up all year long and feel better knowing they brought the fairies into their world. Starlight I say .and you made it possible for me .and now for them as they plan to pass it on to others .and for less than two coffees .bravo.

The lights are very nice but the plug and cord are very cheap. I use these for my daughters decorating vanities and not sure if they're staying connected. I can get them to work if I bring the plug close to the power source, but when I let go the light flickers and goes out. I'm hoping that once the vanity is in place and the plug doesn't need to be moved, they can be turned on with an extra switch I bought. Generally they work, but cheap everywhere!

The lanterns are nicely assembled and provide good lighting. The problem I had was that in our open floor plan, we used lighting for the built-in plant shelves above (inaccessible without a ladder) with an outlet switch to turn on the lighting. When the wall switch is triggered, the lighting pattern is a flash or something and resets from the originally manually set steady-on pattern each time. If the lighting had stayed on the set pattern upon installation, the score would have been higher.

These lights work. But the wiring is so cheaply made that I'm afraid to leave them unattended because they'll burn the house down. I have a lot of fairy lights though and I know they are generally not the best wiring. But these are particularly bad. Even though they shine. You have multiple settings - constant, instant blinking, fast blinking, and slow blinking. Once I have a better string of plain white lights that just glow and seem a little safer, I'll ditch this string.

The plug keeps falling out of the socket with a light knock, somehow it hardly holds up. I have never had this problem. What is annoying is that the remote control has 8 functions and I need the last function to remain stable as usual. It's also a pity that you can't turn it off with the remote control? You should just turn it off whenever you want, which defeats the purpose of the remote! For the price it's ok. It seems very cheap and quite delicate.
